Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEND Specialist Tutor in the Newcastle area to design and deliver tailored 1:1 or small group lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will work either at the pupil’s home or in local community settings, building confidence and life skills while reporting weekly progress to families.

The role requires relevant Children/Education qualifications and UK classroom teaching experience, with DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 1:1 or small group tuition for SEND students.
• UK classroom teaching experience required.
• Experience with SEND including ASD, ADHD, GLD and challenging behaviours.
• Right to work in the UK and DBS certificate — or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 or small group tuition supporting students with SEND.
• Develop and implement personalised lesson plans to address learning gaps.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families.
• Create a supportive learning environment to rebuild confidence in learning.
• Complete daily attendance and weekly reports.
