Job summary

National Instruments is seeking a part-time Classroom Assistant (Special Educational Needs) to support the teacher and Education Authority in Antrim-Belfast-Lisnasharragh Primary School. The role focuses on SEN pupil support, assisting with programmes, personal care, and ensuring safe, inclusive access to learning.

The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, under the guidance of the Principal and class teacher, and may be involved in off-site activities and

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant area from a recognised awarding body.
• AND Have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a formal learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with educational support and care for pupils with special educational needs.
• Support the teacher in delivering teaching programmes and facilitating participation.
• Assist with moving pupils around the school and on/off transport.
• Provide supervision and administer prescribed medicines where required.
• Assist with classroom administration and resource preparation.
