Job summary

Remedy Education is looking for committed SEN Classroom Support staff to work in a range of schools in Greenwich and Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is experienced in working with children and young people, and wants to develop their skills in both education and SEN settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a school, care, youth work, support or similar setting.
• Knowledge or experience of Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• Patient, calm and compassionate approach.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a supportive team.
• Genuine desire to help young people overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils feel confident and supported in a SEN setting.
• Support pupils in a range of schools in Greenwich and Lewisham.
• Work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to enable educational development.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment for children and young people.

What we're looking for

• Experience working with children or young people, whether in a school, care, youth work, support or similar setting.
• Prior experience as SEN Classroom Support staff would be advantageous, but not essential.
• Some knowledge or experience of Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• A patient, calm and compassionate approach.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a supportive team.
• A genuine desire to help young people overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
