Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN Class Teacher to join a primary school in IG11. The role involves teaching a class of pupils aged 4-16 with PMLD, ASC, and other complex needs, supported by staff and a semi-formal curriculum.

The successful candidate must have QTS or equivalent and an enhanced DBS, with ability to adapt lessons to EHCPs. This is a full-time, long-term/permanent position starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS or equivalent
• Experience with PMLD, ASC, Complex Needs or similar settings
• Able to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents/careers

Responsibilities

• Teach a class of pupils with varying needs using a semi-formal curriculum
• Collaborate with parents/careers and staff to support progress
• Adapt the syllabus to EHCP requirements
• Use monitoring and assessment to evaluate pupil progress
