Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. seeks a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to lead a small group of primary pupils with additional needs in a mainstream school in Hounslow. Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned to EHCP targets.

You will work with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO and families; monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to support development, independence and positive behaviour. QTS with SEND experience is required; MPS/UPS scale plus SEN allowance.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Experience teaching children with SEND in either specialist or mainstream settings is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP targets.
  • Lead a small class of pupils with a range of additional needs (Autism, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH).
  • Create an inclusive and safe learning environment for every child.

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Class Teacher to lead a small, nurturing group of primary-aged pupils within our mainstream school setting.

As our SEN Class Teacher, you will:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets.
  • Lead a small class of pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties and SEMH needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, parents and external professionals.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to support development.
  • Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour through a nurturing approach.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching children with SEND in either a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Understands a range of special educational needs and effective intervention strategies.
  • Is patient, resilient and committed to inclusive education.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
