Long Term Futures is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor for a specialist SEN school in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. This full-time post involves 1:1 mentoring and pastoral support to pupils requiring help with emotional regulation, confidence, relationships and engagement in education.

The role offers a long-term placement with the potential to become permanent. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant school experience is welcomed, with Enhanced DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• Experience in behaviour mentoring or a school-based support role.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience welcomed.
• Awareness of safeguarding and pastoral support in a SEN setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 behaviour mentoring and pastoral support to pupils.
• Build positive relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement.
• Identify triggers and teach strategies for managing emotions.
• Deliver mentoring activities focused on confidence, resilience, and social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams.
• Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns promptly.
