Job summary

Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Assistant in Middlesbrough to support pupils with severe learning difficulties and those with profound and multiple needs. The role is full-time with an immediate start and potential for a permanent contract.

Daily duties include enabling inclusive education, safeguarding and building positive relationships with learners, families and school staff.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children, young people or vulnerable adults in any capacity.
  • Experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEN/SEND) is desirable.
  • You should have patience, drive and determination to support learners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with severe learning difficulties and those with profound and multiple needs.
  • Help provide a quality, inclusive education for pupils.
  • This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible with potential for permanent contract.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing of students in SEND settings.

Vision for Education are recruiting for anSEN Assistant to support the school toprovide a quality, inclusive education for pupils with severe learning difficulties and those with profound and multiple needs. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible, with the potential to lead to a permanent contract. We also have positions available for a start next half term too, so whether you are available now or planning ahead for next term we would like to hear from you.

Requirements

To be considered for theSEN Assistant position, the school have asked for:

  • Someone who has worked with children, young people or vulnerable adults in any capacity
  • Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Someone with great patience, drive and determination
  • Someone looking to extend and expand their skillSafeguarding
