Job summary

Chandlers Field School seeks dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our specialist ASD Centre. This is an opportunity to work within a supportive team, helping pupils with diverse needs thrive in a safe and challenging environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant at LEO Academy Trust, you will assist in delivering specialist provision, care and supervision for our pupils, supporting children with neurodiversity and social communication difficulties, with ongoing CPD for staff.

Qualifications

• Understanding of how children learn and experience supporting pupils in a school setting.
• Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and pupils.
• A "can-do" attitude, a sense of humour, and the ability to use your initiative.
• A commitment to meeting the needs of every child (a Level 3 Diploma in supporting teaching and learning is desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of specialist provision, care and supervision for our pupils.
• Support children with neurodiversity and social communication difficulties.
