Job summary

Jacobs is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a high-velocity, multidisciplinary design team in Manchester. You will shape electrical systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities, overseeing design development from programming through construction documentation.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years’ experience, strong knowledge of IEC codes, and proven collaboration across process, electrical, and BIM disciplines. Hybrid working and global project exposure offered.

Qualifications

• Hons degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering design of building electrical systems.
• Experience applying IEC and local building codes.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Organize, assign, and delegate engineering tasks to produce construction documents with a multidisciplinary team.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
• Coordinate in real time with other disciplines to develop designs.
• Take responsible charge of electrical design accuracy and quality of documents.
• Review submittals for conformance with contract intent and design documents.
