Job summary

Blue Arrow in Perth is seeking a Semi-Skilled Service Technician to join a busy engineering team. You will maintain and service a modern fleet of commercial vehicles, carry out routine servicing, diagnose faults, and support safety standards in a supportive workshop environment.

The role offers full training, including health and safety and equipment training, 34 days annual leave, a company pension scheme, employee discounts across sectors, and clear progression opportunities within engineering

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles.
• Experience with bus/coach/truck/HGV environments advantageous.
• Confidence using diagnostic equipment and service manuals.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Completing preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
• Assisting with roadside repairs when required
• Reporting vehicle defects accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Working closely with workshop colleagues to maintain high engineering standards

Location: Perth Pay: £13.64 per hour Hours: 45 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday

Blue Arrow is currently recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Service Technician to join a busy engineering team in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive workshop environment. You'll play an important role in maintaining and servicing a modern fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, reliable and ready for operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Completing preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
• Assisting with roadside repairs when required
• Reporting vehicle defects accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Working closely with workshop colleagues to maintain high engineering standards

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles
• Experience within bus, coach, truck, HGV or similar environments would be advantageous
• Confidence using diagnostic equipment and service manuals
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
• Commitment to health and safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
