Job summary

E3recruitment is seeking a Semi-Skilled Auto Electrician to join a growing manufacturing business in the St Helens area. Work is Monday to Friday in a clean, modern workshop with an early finish on Fridays and long-term development opportunities.

You will install and fault-find 12V/24V electrical systems for vehicle conversions, liaising with the workshop team. Overtime may be available and a pension is provided.

Qualifications

• Auto electrical experience in vehicles (HGV/LCV/commercial) preferred.
• Strong fault-finding skills with 12V/24V systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire auxiliary vehicle equipment (beacons, CCTV, ANPR, inverters, solar systems).
• Fault-find, diagnose, and repair 12V/24V electrical systems and wiring looms.
• Interpret wiring diagrams to deliver high-quality bespoke vehicle installations.

Duties of the Semi-Skilled Auto Electrician role include:

• Installation and wiring of auxiliary vehicle equipment, including beacons, light bars, CCTV and ANPR systems, inverters, and solar battery systems.
• Fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair of 12V and 24V electrical systems, wiring looms, and associated components.
• Interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to deliver high-quality, bespoke vehicle installations in accordance with customer specifications and industry standards.

We welcome applicants for the Semi-Skilled Auto Electrician role from individuals who have Auto Electrical experience (HGV/LCV/PSV/commercial vehicles), Strong fault-finding skills with 12v/24v systems and able to work independently and as part of a team.
