Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a Semi-skilled Groundworker/Labourer to join our team in Bury Saint Edmunds, UK. This permanent, full-time role focuses on residential oil spill projects, environmental restoration, and safety, supporting top management.

You will carry out site works, assist senior staff, and help maintain ISO quality and safety systems. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel/work away are required; DBS and pre-employment screening will apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role including groundwork.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK and be able to pass a DBS check.
• Experience operating a mini digger or dumper is preferred.

We are currently seeking aSemi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourerto join our team in Bury Saint Edmunds, UK. This role involves working on residential oil spill projects, ensuring environmental restoration and safety.

What You’ll Do:

• Carry out site works following safety protocols, including the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.
• Work away periodically

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including hand digging, groundwork, laying drainage, concreting, etc.
• Ability to operate a mini digger/dumper (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week if required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check and pre-employment Drugs and Alcohol Screening.
