Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a Semi-skilled Groundworker/Labourer to join our team in Plymouth, UK. The role involves working on residential oil spill projects, ensuring environmental restoration and safety, with a permanent full-time contract and competitive salary.

You will carry out site works, assist senior staff, and help support our quality and safety management systems while complying with safety protocols. Willingness to travel and work away from home may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role including groundwork and drainage.
• Ability to operate a mini digger or dumper (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel and stay away during week if required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• DBS check and pre-employment drugs and alcohol screening required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site works following safety protocols, including the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.

We are currently seeking aSemi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourerto join our team in Plymouth, UK. This role involves working on residential oil spill projects, ensuring environmental restoration and safety.

What You’ll Do:

• Carry out site works following safety protocols, including the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including hand digging, groundwork, laying drainage, concreting, etc.
• Ability to operate a mini digger/dumper (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week if required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check and pre-employment Drugs and Alcohol Screening.
