Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a semi-skilled Groundworker/Labourer to join our team in Liverpool, UK. The role focuses on residential oil spill projects and environmental restoration, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work under the supervision of senior staff, perform site works, and support our pollution response and restoration activities for the insurance sector. The position is full-time and permanent with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled construction experience including groundwork and drainage.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Right to work in the UK and DBS/drug screening will be checked.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site works following safety protocols and site policies.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with tasks as required.
• Support ISO9001 and ISO45001 processes and documentation.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.

We are currently seeking aSemi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourerto join our team in Liverpool, UK. This role involves working on residential oil spill projects, ensuring environmental restoration and safety.

What You’ll Do:

• Carry out site works following safety protocols, including the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including hand digging, groundwork, laying drainage, concreting, etc.
• Ability to operate a mini digger/dumper (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week if required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check and pre-employment Drugs and Alcohol Screening.
