Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd, based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, is seeking a Semi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourer to join their team on residential oil spill projects. The role focuses on environmental restoration and safety, supporting pollution response services for the insurance sector.

You will work on-site, following safety protocols, and may travel for assignments. DBS check and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including hand digging, groundwork, laying drainage, concreting.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will be subject to DBS check and pre-employment drugs and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site works following safety protocols and policies.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO quality and safety management processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.

We are currently seeking aSemi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourerto join our team in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. This role involves working on residential oil spill projects, ensuring environmental restoration and safety.

What You’ll Do:

• Carry out site works following safety protocols, including the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including hand digging, groundwork, laying drainage, concreting, etc.
• Ability to operate a mini digger/dumper (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week if required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check and pre-employment Drugs and Alcohol Screening.
