Job summary

E3 Recruitment is recruiting an Auto Electrician for a growing manufacturing business in the St Helens area. The role offers a clean, modern workshop environment and a strong order book for the coming months, with Monday–Friday hours and an early finish on Fridays.

Ideal candidates have proven experience in vehicle electrics, diagnostics, and installations, and relish long-term development opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto electrical installations for vehicles.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with HGV/LCV/PSV or commercial vehicles.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire auxiliary vehicle equipment (beacons, light bars, CCTV, ANPR, inverters, solar systems).
• Fault-finding and repair of 12V/24V electrical systems and wiring looms.
• Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to deliver bespoke vehicle installations.

Duties of the Auto Electrician role include:

• Installation and wiring of auxiliary vehicle equipment, including beacons, light bars, CCTV and ANPR systems, inverters, and solar battery systems.
• Fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair of 12V and 24V electrical systems, wiring looms, and associated components.
• Interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to deliver high-quality, bespoke vehicle installations in accordance with customer specifications and industry standards.

We welcome applicants for the Auto Electrician role from individuals who have Auto Electrical experience (HGV/LCV/PSV/commercial vehicles), Strong fault-finding skills with 12v/24v systems and able to work independently and as part of a team.
