Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is recruiting an Auto Electrician for a Stoke-on-Trent based vehicle manufacturer. You will work in the Electrical Department on the build and assembly of in-house designed trailer chassis, decks and related components.

Reporting to the Electrical Workshop Manager, you will install and maintain electrical systems on trailers, troubleshoot faults from drawings, and ensure work is completed to a high standard, safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of auto electrical systems.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with hand and air tools.
• Good mechanical knowledge and high standards of workmanship.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work independently or in a team.
• Committed to health and safety in the workshop.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of electrical systems on commercial trailers
• Fault finding and diagnostics across vehicle electrical systems
• Reading from technical drawings and wiring schematics
• Assisting in assembly of bespoke trailer components
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines

A great opportunity has arisen within the Electrical Department of a well-established vehicle manufacturing business based in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Role:

Reporting to the Electrical Workshop Manager, you will be involved in the build and assembly of high-quality, in-house designed trailer chassis, decks, and associated components. This is a varied role working on low-volume, high-specification vehicles for major blue-chip clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and maintenance of electrical systems on commercial trailers
• Fault finding and diagnostics across a range of vehicle electrical systems
• Working from technical drawings and wiring schematics
• Assisting in the assembly of bespoke trailer components
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
