Job summary

Oadby Plastics is seeking a Machine Operator to join the Semi Finished team. You will set and operate a range of woodworking machinery to produce Semi-Finished goods with emphasis on accuracy, safety and quality.

The role requires practical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered as part of a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Good English, Maths and IT skills.
• Self-manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Beam, Panel, Band & Upcut Saws, Thicknessers and Centreless Grinders.
• Machining duties to produce standard PrepPro chopping boards.
• Contribute to team performance and KPI achievement.
• Adhere to company processes to ensure right-first-time standard.
• Complete reporting and quality checks.
• Carry out daily safety checks for department equipment.
• Educate and mentor new team members on efficiencies.
