Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy door manufacturing site in Sheffield, S9. You will operate a spindle moulder and other woodworking machinery, machine timber and door components to exact specifications, set and adjust machinery, and read measurements, drawings and job specifications to ensure quality.

This role offers dayshift hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am–4.30pm and Friday 7.30am–1.30pm (37.5 hours/wk), a temp-to-perm contract, and

• Experience operating spindle moulders or similar woodworking machinery.
• Strong understanding of woodworking processes and tooling.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Pay: £12.71
• Hours: Days Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm - 37.5 hours per week

The Role

• Operating a spindle moulder and other woodworking machinery
• Machining timber and door components to the required specifications.
• Setting and adjusting machinery to achieve accurate results.
• Reading and working from measurements, drawings and job specifications.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet the required standards.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Meeting production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience operating a spindle moulder preferred but not essential as will consider someone with some machine operating experience
• Experience as a wood machinist within a door manufacturing, joinery or woodworking environment preferred
• Good understanding of woodworking machinery, tooling and machining processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious approach.
