Job summary

Masstemps is seeking a trainee Wood machinist to join a busy manufacturing site on the outskirts of Kidderminster. You will learn to load products into machines, operate lines and use hand and power tools, including a nail gun, while maintaining quality standards.

The role suits someone reliable who can handle physical work and commute to site by other means due to location. Normal hours are Monday to Thursday 5:30am to 2:30pm with overtime opportunities after probation.

Masstemps is currently recruiting for a trainee Wood machinist to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Kidderminster.

The Role

As a Wood machinist, you will be responsible for:

• Loading product into machines and machine lines
• Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively (nail gun)
• Carrying out manual handling duties
• Wrapping and Banding wood products
• Maintaining quality standards while working efficiently to production targets
• Operating machine control panels to ensure wood products are processed

The ideal candidate will be:

• Confident working in a manufacturing environment
• Comfortable with heavy lifting
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to commute without public transport due to location of site.

Hours

Monday to Thursday 5:30am-2:30pm
You do not work a Friday.

Pay

£12.90ph with progression after successful probation period.
