Job summary

AP Education is recruiting SEMH Tutors in Eye, Suffolk, to deliver 1:1 tailored support for learners with SEMH needs. You will work face-to-face with students from Early Years to KS4, focusing on core subjects and therapeutic approaches.

The role offers flexible term-time hours, with weekly pay and access to dedicated resources, plus collaboration with external professionals to support transitions into mainstream or specialist settings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND/SEMH.
• Background in education, youth work, or therapeutic settings.
• QTS or HLTA preferred; exceptions for two years UK experience without qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core subjects (Maths, English, Science) or SEMH-specific support.
• Provide face-to-face 1:1 support to learners from Early Years to KS4.
• Maintain daily/weekly progress reports and liaise with external professionals as needed.
• Support attendance reporting and assist transitions to mainstream or specialist settings.
