Job summary

St James CE Primary School in Northampton invites applications for a Teaching Assistant (SEMH) to support pupils with SEMH needs within our PARC nurture provision. Qualifications

  • Supports the Christian ethos and inclusive nature of St James and embeds values with children, staff, governors, parents and the wider community.
  • Has relevant experience and/or qualifications to support children with SEMH needs.
  • Understands SEMH difficulties in mainstream or specialist settings and responds with patience.
  • Sets high expectations and motivates children to flourish.
  • Is reflective and continually seeks to improve practice.
  • Builds strong relationships with children with clear boundaries, empathy and fairness.
  • Understands community and inclusion, builds supportive relationships within a team.
  • Energetic, positive, and drives change for the benefit of all.
