Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant in Northampton to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. SEMH Teaching Assistant - Northampton

We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive school in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students who require extra support to achieve their potential, both academically and emotionally.

Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Northampton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time (term time only)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Your Responsibilities:
Support students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Help create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

Promote emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and social skills

Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working with children with SEMH or similar needs (desired but not essential)

Is calm, patient, and resilient under pressure

Can build positive relationships with students and staff

Holds an understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Has a relevant qualification or is willing to undertake training
