Job summary

Astro Education is partnering with a specialist SEN school in South Manchester to recruit a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant / SEMH Support Worker on a full-time, permanent basis. You will support KS3 and KS4 pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them engage with lessons and develop positive relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs in education or related settings.
• Ability to work with KS3/KS4 pupils in a school environment.
• Patient, calm, resilient and able to establish clear boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Deliver small-group assistance to maximise learning engagement.
• Support pupils to engage in lessons and build confidence.
