Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across Dover and surrounding areas on both a full-time and part-time basis.

You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help pupils who may experience emotional, behavioural or mental health challenges, building positive relationships and aiding engagement with learning in a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Full right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Promote positive behaviour using consistent strategies.
• Help students regulate their emotions and build resilience.
• Support learning activities inside and outside the classroom.
• Encourage confidence, independence and social development.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils, teachers and families.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support learning plans.
