Connex Education Partnership seeks a SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-16 with SEMH across three sites in Sefton. This full-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a temp-to-perm path. You will help create a nurturing environment and support pupils to regulate behaviours and engage in learning.

Competitive weekly pay (£450-£475) depending on experience, with access to a SEND toolkit and dedicated consultant support. DBS checked candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH.
• Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help pupils self-regulate.
• Use trauma-informed approaches when managing challenging behaviour.
• Promote life skills and empower pupils by building confidence.
• Willing to collaborate with families and work as a team.
• Able to provide or obtain a DBS check as required.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils with SEMH across three Sefton sites.
• Provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where pupils feel safe.
• Assist with behaviour management and calming techniques.
• Work Monday–Friday 8:30am–3:30pm on a full-time basis.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment and safeguarding.
