Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a Secondary PRU in Greenwich from September 2026. The role centres on 1:1 support and small-group work to help pupils engage with learning and build confidence.

You will work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to foster a positive learning environment, supporting emotional wellbeing and progress. This is a full-time, long-term role through July 2027 with competitive daily pay.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or SEN.
• Graduates welcome to gain school-based experience.
• Patience, resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and team working ability.
• Passion for helping children succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils in and out of the classroom.
• Work 1:1 and with small groups to encourage positive learning and behaviour.
• Build strong relationships to support emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral team to create a positive learning environment.
