Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is helping a Greenwich-based school recruit a proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to support vulnerable students in Essex. The role requires a graduate, strong emotional intelligence and resilience to work 1:1 and in small groups, with SEMH, autism, and trauma-related needs.

You will assist teachers across subjects, promote positive behaviour and life skills, and commit from September 2026 to July 2027, contributing to the students' engagement and progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a UK university degree.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (voluntary or paid).
• Strong emotional intelligence, resilience and adaptability.
• Commitment from September 2026 until July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
• Support students with SEMH, Autism, trauma-related difficulties and behavioural issues
• Assist teachers across a range of subjects and activities
