Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in an Essex school from September 2026 to July 2027. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils engage with learning and develop essential life skills.

The role requires emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability, plus a commitment to working with vulnerable learners across a Primary School setting.

Qualifications

• A graduate with a degree from a UK University.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (voluntary or paid).
• Strong emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability.
• Commitment from September 2026 until July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
• Supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural issues.
• Assisting teachers across a range of subjects and activities.
• Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and personal growth.
