Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting SEMH Teachers to work across Bristol and South Gloucestershire in APs, SEMH schools and PRUs. We welcome Primary and Secondary trained teachers, including ECTs with SEND/SEMH backgrounds.

The role supports learners requiring nurturing, structured and therapeutic approaches to education. You will deliver engaging lessons, support SEMH learners, and collaborate with staff to implement trauma‑informed strategies.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with SEMH experience preferred.
• Open to Primary and Secondary trained teachers, including ECTs with SEND/SEMH background.
• Experience in behaviour management and building positive relationships with learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across your subject or general curriculum.
• Support SEMH pupils to access learning in a safe, structured environment.
• Collaborate with support staff, pastoral teams and multi‑agency professionals.
• Implement behaviour strategies and trauma‑informed approaches.
• Help pupils re-engage with education and build confidence and resilience.
• Adapt learning to meet EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
