Job summary

Protocol Education is helping to place a SEMH-focused Classroom Teacher in a Bristol-based Alternative Provision. The role targets pupils who need a different approach to learning, with small class sizes and a collaborative pastoral support structure.

The teacher delivers cross-curricular lessons and builds trusted relationships to re-engage students with education. The ideal candidate has QTS and a calm, flexible, creative mindset, with a desire to make a real difference in SEMH settings.

Qualifications

SEMH Classroom Teacher - Alternative Provision

Location: Bristol

Pay: £168 to £232 per day

Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm

Requirements: QTS required, SEMH/SEN experience helpful but not essential

Looking to teach in a setting where relationships matter just as much as the lesson plan? We're working with a small and supportive Alternative Provision in Bristol that is looking for a general classroom teacher to work with pupils who need a different approach to learning. The school supports both primary and secondary aged students, many of whom have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs..

Classes are small, typically 4 to 8 pupils, which means you can really focus on building trust, creating routines, and helping students reconnect with education.

This role would suit a teacher who is calm, flexible, and creative in their approach, someone who enjoys thinking outside the box and understands that progress doesn't always look the same for every learner.

What the role involves:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
