Job summary

Protocol Education in Bristol is seeking a SEMH/Classroom Teacher for an Alternative Provision. The role involves delivering a broad curriculum to small groups of 4–8 pupils, building trust, routines and engagement in learning.

You will work with a dedicated pastoral and behaviour team to support pupils with SEMH needs and adapt lessons to individual learning pathways. This is a temporary role with daily pay from £168 to £232.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience with SEMH/SEN is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a general classroom teacher delivering lessons across a broad curriculum.
• Teaching small groups of 4 to 8 pupils with varied academic abilities.
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Building positive routines and strong relationships with students.
• Working closely with a pastoral and behaviour support team.
• Supporting pupils who may have struggled in mainstream education to re-engage with learning.
