Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an SEMH Teacher for a Leeds-based provision. The role involves day-to-day or long-term teaching across KS3 and KS4, with an immediate start and a focus on inclusion for students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.

You will deliver engaging lessons while supporting pupils in a positive learning environment, using strong classroom management and resilience.

Qualifications

• QTS (ECTs welcomed) and SEMH experience.
• Experience with KS3/KS4 and inclusion support.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.

Job description

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £120 - 170 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEMH provision based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint an SEMH Teacher. The provision supports young people with additional needs and requires a confident and resilient teacher who can provide consistent inclusion support within a positive learning environment.

The provision is looking to take on an SEMH Teacher for day-to-day or long-term work, with an Immediate Start. The successful SEMH Teacher will work with students across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons while supporting pupils with SEMH needs, inclusion and challenging behaviour.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs
• Experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience managing challenging behaviour and providing inclusion support
• Excellent classroom management
• A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
