Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an SEMH Support Worker in Bradford to assist pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across KS1–KS4. You will support learning, behaviour and social-emotional development, building positive relationships to aid reintegration into mainstream education.

The role offers short-term or long-term placements with market-leading pay, CPD opportunities, and a dedicated consultant team available 24/7 to support onboarding and placement success.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • Experience working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
  • A patient, resilient and positive approach.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £100 - 120 per day

Are you an experienced SEMH Support Worker with a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs?

Do you have the resilience and patience to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour?

Can you build positive relationships with pupils and help them work towards reintegrating into mainstream education?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with alternative provisions across Bradford, supporting pupils from Key Stage 1 / KS1 through to Key Stage 4 / KS4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. These provisions focus on providing a supportive learning environment where pupils can develop the skills and confidence needed to successfully reintegrate into mainstream education.

We are looking for an SEMH Support Worker for short-term or long-term opportunities, supporting pupils with their learning, behaviour and social and emotional development. The successful SEMH Support Worker will be expected to build positive relationships with pupils, provide consistent support and help students engage effectively with their education.

The successful SEMH Support Worker will have:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
  • Experience working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
  • A patient, resilient and positive approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
