Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs in lessons and during structured activities
  • Provide individual and small-group support
  • Help pupils engage with learning and return to tasks after dysregulation
  • Use consistent behaviour-management strategies
  • Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations
  • Reinforce routines, expectations and boundaries
  • Record observations and report concerns accurately
  • Follow individual support plans and safeguarding procedures
  • Maintain a safe, structured learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff
