Job summary

Education World Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Support Assistant for a Pupil Referral Unit in the Tyne Valley. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs to access engaging learning in a specialist PRU setting.

Ideal candidates show resilience, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset to work with teachers, support staff, and external agencies. A Level 3 qualification and a DBS update service check are desirable requirements.

Qualifications

  • A current enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Are you passionate about education and looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who need it most? Education World is seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, and compassionate Support Assistant to join a dedicated Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) team in the Tyne Valley.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to work with students who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health needs, behavioural challenges, or other barriers to learning.
