Job summary

TeacherActive are recruiting an SEMH Teaching Assistant for a Pupil Referral Unit in Stockport, Greater Manchester. This temporary role offers a strong likelihood of going permanent for the right candidate, with a daily rate of £100–£120.

You will support students with SEMH, Autism and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 and small-group basis, building trust and helping learners re-engage with education while collaborating with teachers and behaviour leads.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months’ experience working with young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
  • Experience within a PRU, Alternative Provision or SEND setting is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
