Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking caring and resilient SEMH Support Assistants to work with children and young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools in the UK.

You’ll support students on a one-to-one basis, help regulate emotions, promote positive behaviour and assist with intervention programmes while building trusting relationships.

Qualifications

• Backgrounds welcomed include Psychology, Criminology, Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Social Care, Mental Health Support, Teaching Assistants and Support Workers.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a one-to-one basis.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and promote positive behaviour strategies.
• Support social and communication skills and encourage classroom participation.
• Assist with intervention programmes and build trusting relationships with students.

Protocol Education is looking for caring and resilient SEMH Support Assistants to work with children and young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who may face challenges with emotional regulation, self-esteem, attendance, relationships or engagement in learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
