Job description

SEMH Support Assistant

Do you understand that behaviour is often a sign of unmet need? We’re looking for an SEMH Support Assistant to work with students who need emotional and behavioural support to stay engaged in school.

This role suits someone who is resilient, reflective and able to build trust with students who may find school challenging.

Daily pay: £90–£110

The role
  • Supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support
  • Helping students regulate emotions and re-engage with learning
  • Working closely with pastoral leads and SEN staff
  • Supporting consistent routines and expectations
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in SEMH, behaviour support or youth work
  • A calm, empathetic and consistent approach
  • Confidence managing challenging situations
  • Someone who values relationships and structure

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
