Job summary

Education at Ivy Resource Group is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Stroud. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with SEMH needs and work within a supportive multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing, structured learning environment.

The role requires QTS/QTLS or equivalent, experience with SEMH/SEND, excellent classroom and behaviour management, and the ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with SEMH/SEND.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Calm, patient and able to build positive relationships with vulnerable learners.
• High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour; inclusive environment.
• Work effectively as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Manage behaviour positively and consistently using agreed strategies.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils who may have faced challenges in education.
• Track and monitor student progress against targets.
• Collaborate with support staff, parents/carers and external professionals.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews, reports and multi-agency meetings.
