Woodcot Primary School is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support pupils with SEMH needs in a new Beacon provision opening January 2027. You will work with individuals and small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum inside the Beacon or in mainstream classes.

Under the SENCo and Lead Assistant Teacher, you will deliver targeted interventions, build trusted relationships, and monitor pupil progress and wellbeing. A positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEMH needs is desirable.
• Ability to work under supervision with SENCo and Lead Assistant Teacher.
• Commitment to consistent, reflective teaching and safeguarding.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils with SEMH needs individually and in small groups.
• Deliver planned interventions to help access the curriculum.
• Build positive relationships to support regulation and self-management.
• Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing and report findings.
• Work as part of a small, close‑knit team to shape the new provision.
