Job summary

Larwood School in Stevenage seeks teachers to work in a specialist SEMH provision across two sites. Class sizes are small (8–10 pupils) with high staffing ratios and TAs for support. The role offers comprehensive induction and specialist SEMH training within a collaborative team.

Applicants with SEMH experience are valued, but a shared commitment to our ethos and child-centred learning is essential. NQTs/ECTs encouraged, enhanced DBS clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEMH or special education is valuable but not required.
• NQTs/ECTs are encouraged to apply.
• Visits to Larwood site are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for SEMH pupils.
• Build positive relationships with challenging pupils.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants to support learners.
• Uphold high expectations and strong behaviour mentoring.
• Participate in induction, training and ongoing development.
