Job summary

Five Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor to lead pre-planned lessons at a SEMH School (BS15). You will maintain a positive, structured learning environment and work alongside experienced LSAs to support pupils.

The role suits someone with experience with secondary-aged students, strong behaviour management, and the ability to build professional relationships. The school offers small class sizes and ongoing professional development, with weekly payroll.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people
• Confident managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries
• Able to build positive, professional relationships with pupils
• Patient, empathetic and resilient
• Experience in education, youth work, coaching, residential care, support work, or similar settings
• Passionate about helping young people achieve their potential

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
• Work with a team of LSAs to provide tailored support.
• Maintain a small-class environment (8–10 pupils) and foster positive relationships.
