Job summary

White Trees Independent School in Coggeshall is seeking an SEMH English Teacher to educate pupils with SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD, and related conditions. The role involves 1:1 and small group teaching, with EHCP-based targets and ILPs to guide learning outcomes.

You will design Schemes of Work and lessons, assess progress, and work with support staff to provide tailored interventions that promote inclusive learning and strong attainment.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent with SEMH/SEN experience.
• Experience with needs including ASD/SEMH/SEN.
• Proven track record of positive student outcomes.
• Innovative, passionate and pro-active teaching approach.
• Experience in developing intuitive lesson plans and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils with EHCPs across SEN needs, including ASD.
• Provide quality teaching and learning for all pupils.
• Be accountable for attainment and progress.
• Differentiate instruction to support progress.
• Collaborate with TAs and tutors to support pupils.
