A school, based in Essex, is offering a full-time, permanent opportunity for an educator with the empathy, energy, and resilience to thrive in a specialist setting.
The team is committed to delivering a curriculum that supports both academic achievement and emotional growth. You will play a key role in transforming students' experiences through consistency, creativity, and relational teaching.
Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons for students with SEMH needs
Use trauma-informed and restorative practices to manage behaviour
Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and professionals
Support pupils in meeting EHCP targets and achieving personal growth
Foster a classroom environment that is safe, supportive, and inclusive
Monitor and evaluate individual progress, adapting teaching as needed
Contribute to whole-school events, activities, and enrichment
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential)
Previous experience in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings (preferred)
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A trauma-informed, person-centred approach to teaching
Resilience, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education
Ability to build trust and motivate students with complex needs
