Job summary

Elementa Support Services is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Mentor for ASD/ASC and SEMH, on a 60-day trial with a 1-year fixed-term contract. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:30am–3:30pm, in Bristol-Central, starting September 2026. Salary £18,000–£22,000 p.a.

(£15.38–£17.95ph during trial). The successful candidate will support learners with SEMH and trauma, deliver an alternative education curriculum, and work with families to reinforce boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners who have SEMH and trauma
• Team Teach / PBM / MAPA or THRIVE training appreciated
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Commitment to safeguarding young people
• Ability to create practical, individualised learning activities

Responsibilities

• Deliver an alternative education curriculum tailored to SEMH needs
• Recognise emotional and educational needs and respond with appropriate activities
• Engage and support parents to reinforce boundaries and learning at home
• Uphold safeguarding standards and promote positive behaviour
