Job summary

Elementa Support Services is seeking a Learning Support Mentor for ASD/ASC with SEMH to join their expanding team in Bristol on a 1-year fixed-term contract following a 60-day trial. The role supports both full-time and part-time hours, typically 9:30am–3:30pm, starting September 2026.

You will work with primary and secondary pupils with SEMH and ASC/ASD, delivering an alternative education curriculum and engaging families to support learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience with learners with SEMH and trauma.
• Ability to create engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
• Good communication with parents and carers to set boundaries.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting academic and personal growth.
• GCSEs in English and Maths (C/4 or above) required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an alternative education curriculum for SEMH/ASC pupils.
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to achieve learning goals.
• Collaborate with parents and carers to reinforce boundaries and learning at home.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Be flexible with working hours within the 9:30am–3:30pm window.
