Job summary

Educato Limited is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a specialist SEN setting in Bury. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assisting with learning, communication and emotional regulation under the guidance of teachers.

The role requires patience, a calm and nurturing attitude, and full-time availability. A Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent and DBS clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Experience with children or young people, ideally in SEN or SEMH.
• Patient, calm and nurturing in approach.
• Full-time availability for the duration of the role.
• Hold a valid DBS for child and adult workforce.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Support learning, communication, social development and emotional regulation.
• Assist with behaviour management and helping pupils develop independence.
• Follow individual support plans and contribute to pupils' development.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver consistent support.
• Create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment.
