Job summary

TimePlan Education are recruiting a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a Wolverhampton setting supporting pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH and additional needs. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils engage with learning and the wider school environment.

The successful candidate will work with teaching and pastoral staff to create a calm, structured learning environment, while following safeguarding and school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
• Experience in education settings (preferred)
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH and additional learning needs
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support inside and outside the classroom
• Help pupils engage with learning and the wider school environment
• Support behaviour management and help pupils regulate emotions
• Work with teachers and pastoral staff to support individual needs
• Promote safeguarding and follow school policies
