Job summary

Academics are working with a caring and inclusive primary school in Slough that is looking for a dedicated SEMH Intervention Support Assistant to join its team from September. As an SEMH Intervention Support Assistant, you will:

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEMH needs


• Support children in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and positive coping strategies


• Build trusted relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, self-esteem, and engagement in learning


• Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans alongside the wider school team


• Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to provide consistent, high-quality support


• Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, inclusive learning environment
